FEATURED PROJECT:
The City of Midway wanted their first public building to be the focal point of their emerging town when they hired Johnson Peterson Architects to design their community fire station. The 3,225 SF building features two apparatus bays, a large communications and training room as well as a full kitchen. The architecture utilized low maintenance building materials such as split-faced masonry and glass block windows for security. Johnson/Peterson received two design awards for this unique fire station that was completed in 1989 at a construction cost of $224, 890.
