FEATURED PROJECT:
Fort Braden Library

The Fort Braden Library is a new branch library, west of Tallahassee on State Highway 20, serving the Fort Braden Community. The scope of the project required the adaptive reuse of an existing residence for the youth collection and support spaces and an addition for the circulation and main collection areas. The Main Collection area is a unique space with a vaulted ceiling topped by a roof monitor/cupola. The interior features heavy timber trusses and tongue and groove wood decking. Because the project was under budget, additional work on the site was undertaken.
