SELECTED PROJECT:
Edward Ball State Park at Wakulla Center
The design scheme developed for this park
entrance and check-in/out station, reinterprets through the
use of stucco and terra cotta roof tile, the Mediterranean
style expressed in the main lodge facility, constructed in
the 1940’s. The Owner presented specific requirements
regarding both exterior and interior function, vehicular/pedestrian
and visitor/employee traffic flow as well as site visibility
from within the facility. The resultant design satisfies both
the owner’s requirements as well as the opportunity for
natural ventilation.
