FEATURED PROJECT:
Pathology Associates Building
Pathology Associates had outgrown its laboratories
and administrative facilities near TMH. They asked Johnson
Peterson Architects and Watkins Engineers & Constructors
to provide them with new spaces to accommodate them well into
the future. Because of the nature of the work, including chemicals
and putrid materials, an elaborate ventilation system was designed
to protect the physicians and technicians that work under the
fume hoods for hours at a time. Typically, slides are made
from human samples and then moved to the slide reading rooms
where the diagnosis is dictated.
This laboratory processes almost all of the pathological diagnostics
in the North Florida Area.
