SELECTED PROJECT:
City National Bank - Governor's Square
The City National Bank required expansion
and renovation to its existing facility which was built in
the early 1970’s. The decision was made to add approximately
5,000 SF to the existing structure and to redesign the “attic” space
for offices and conference areas. Renovation to the existing
lobby and teller space was also a prime requirement. The bank’s
site is located on heavily traveled Apalachee Parkway and covers
approximately 3.5 acres of highly visible real estate. The
parking area, while actually reduced in size, was redesigned
to accommodate more vehicles while minimizing disturbance of
the abundant trees and shrubbery on the site. Shade trees,
along with native plants and shrubs, were incorporated among
the tall pines to create a calm, natural setting in contrast
with the austere concrete office complexes and ostentatious
accents of the fast-food chains and shopping centers which
line the parkway.
