Doug is native of Florida and has been a resident of Tallahassee for 10 years. He is a graduate of the Florida Agricultural and Mechanical Universities School of Architecture. He started his tenure at Johnson Peterson Architects, Inc. in early 2006, and currently focuses on Educational and Office complexes as well as projects involving historical preservation.
Doug is intrigued with buildings that reflect values and teach principles as well as shape their context and their relationship to a multifaceted society. He is currently working on his architectural licensing exam and hopes to be finished soon. His wife does too.
Most of the time he spends away from work is with his wife, Abby, and three kids. In his spare time, Doug enjoys road and trail cycling, fishing with his sons, Landon and Harrison, and ‘tea’ time with his daughter, Audrey.
